At the Foundation for Social Connection (F4SC) we are advancing social connection nation-wide rooted in evidence for our collective well-being. Our work translates research into practice, creates long-lasting partnerships and convening opportunities for field builders, and prioritizes social connection as a national value powered by lived experiences.
The Foundation for Social Connection (F4SC) is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization founded in 2020. We envision a vibrant society where social connection is at the heart of how we live. As the leading US organization focused on addressing our crisis of disconnection, our mission is to advance social connection nation-wide rooted in evidence for our collective well-being.
On October 16th, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of launching our Action Guide, an interactive tool that empowers communities to create meaningful connections and sustainable change.
We were thrilled to spotlight communities using the guide as well as key staff. Together, we shared our stories and innovative approaches to build a culture of connection. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from case studies, identify best practices, and explore ways to adapt these strategies to their own communities.
Implementing evidence-based strategies and policies are essential to achieving a socially connected society. The SOCIAL Framework is the basis of our theory of change – that stakeholders from all sectors of society can play a role to effectively improve social connection for all.
We must work together to bridge gaps in the field and accelerate progress. Our vast network and convenings foster cross-sector partnerships to create systemic change and contribute to the greater good of advancing social connection work.
We are igniting a national shift in the narrative around social isolation, loneliness, and social connection. We lift up stories of inspiring community efforts working to strengthen social connection. Nurturing and sustaining these vital bonds improves our physical, mental, social, economic, and civic health.
