2024-2027
The path to a vibrant society where social connection is at the heart of how we live.
Since 2020, the Foundation has been working across all sectors and levels of influence to address social isolation, loneliness, and connection (SILC) across the lifespan. Through this work, we have realized the potential areas of focus and opportunities for partnership are vast. However, our team has also felt the challenge of tackling the full breadth of the issue and meeting the growing needs of the field.
By honing our core strengths and collaborating with like-minded partners, we are ready to rise to the challenge and create lasting, meaningful change.
Our revised mission is to advance social connection nation-wide – rooted in evidence– for our collective well-being. As a result of our work, we envision achieving a vibrant society where social connection is at the heart of how we live.
Over the next three years, the Foundation is prioritizing the following areas to measurably advance social connection and support an ecosystem of partners committed to this work.
Implementing evidence-based strategies and policies are essential to achieving a socially connected society. The SOCIAL Framework is the basis of our theory of change – that stakeholders from all sectors of society can play a role to effectively improve social connection for all.
We must work together to bridge gaps in the field and accelerate progress. Our vast network and convenings foster cross-sector partnerships to create systemic change and contribute to the greater good of advancing social connection work.
We are igniting a national shift in the narrative around social isolation, loneliness, and social connection. We lift up stories of inspiring community efforts working to strengthen social connection. Nurturing and sustaining these vital bonds improves our physical, mental, social, economic, and civic health.
Our growth has powered a movement that demands a commitment to operational excellence and capacity building.
