Scientific Leadership Council

The Scientific Leadership Council (SLC), formerly the Scientific Advisory Council, deliberates and provides consensus recommendations on matters of scientific research and evidence that hold bearing over national and local policy, research development, and program implementation and development.

Primary Goals

1. Share relevant research, tools and active interventions developing in the field, with the Foundation and its partners. On a case-by-case basis, they will assess research, tools, and active interventions.

2. Provide scientific recommendations on key initiatives and policy priorities including the advocacy goals of the Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness.

3. Highlight areas of need and opportunities for future research and intervention development.

Note: Key initiatives to be directed by the insights of the SLC will be reviewed by a separate ethics panel and a conflict of interest policy will be developed in concordance with existing federal statute, rules and regulations.
